Frommer's 1997 Costa Rica Guide has this to say about the Inn:
If you're a tennis player or someone who values peace and quiet, the Costa Verde Inn is an excellent choice. This sprawling, modern home incorporates flagstone and stone walls throughout and has a vaguely colonial feel. A large and lush garden, complete with lighted tennis court, surrounds the inn. My favorite rooms are the two by the tennis court, one of which has a sunken, stone-floored shower. Other rooms have hardwood floors, and in all the rooms you'll find king-size beds. The suites are quite a bit larger and have complete kitchens. Common areas include a large living room with fireplace and a wide tiled patio that overlooks the garden. Throughout the inn, you'll see old black-and-white photos that have been colored; ask the innkeeper about the photographer who took these pictures. You can find out here about various excursions around the country, and the inn offers airport pickups. The inn is located 100 meters west and 300 meters south from the cemetary in Escazu. (Follow the signs.) After you go the 100 meters west of the first cemetary, there's actually another smaller one. Don't let it throw you.
